According to a permit filing with the City of New Orleans, the Uptown Reginelli’s Pizza location is planning a major expansion involving an elevated outdoor dining area above the existing parking lot. The new dining area will have the look of a traditional Creole cottage and abut the sidewalk on Magazine Street. It will also create a covered parking lot.
This Reginelli’s Pizza location has been at the corner of State and Magazine Street for over 25 years. It’s become well-known for its hand-tossed pizzas that incorporate of traditional New Orleans foods as toppings, such as a Detroit-style BBQ Shrimp Pizza. Reginelli’s is also known for its salads, pasta dishes, and sandwiches made on house-baked focaccia. The restaurant is open every day of the week for lunch and dinner.
