As Larry Morrow’s local restaurant empire continues to grow, he’s also planned to expand his first, flagship restaurant in the Marigny. According to documents filed with the City of New Orleans, the upstairs apartments at 2438 Saint Claude Ave. will be demolished so that Morrow’s can expand into the second floor. The expansion will have a new dining room and bar area. It will also have a small dining room for private parties.

After opening Morrow’s in April 2018 with his mother Lenora Chong, Morrow has gone on to open several more concepts, including Sun Chong, Hide/Seek NOLA, and Morrow Steak — the last of which recently hosted Megan Thee Stallion and GloRilla for a private dinner. He recently told Axios that he’s looking to build the biggest Black-owned restaurant group in the US.
