According to recent reporting in ABJ, Hopdoddy has three Texas restaurants under construction — two in Houston and one in Austin — and eight more are already in the works, with plans to roll them out in 2025 and into 2026.

“We’re focused on quality over quantity, and we’re not in a rush, and we want to do it right,” said CEO Jeff Chandler.

The report adds that apart from the upcoming Austin location in the Mueller neighborhood, Hopdoddy also will be adding a site in Leander at 29 Gateway and is close to signing a deal in Pflugerville at Stone Hill Town Center, both of which will likely open in the first quarter of 2026.

In total, Hopdoddy likely will grow by eight locations in 2026, about 10 in 2027 and potentially 12 in 2028, depending on the quality of the sites, Chandler said.

Reportedly, Hopdoddy’s busiest locations are a toss up between its restaurants on South Congress Avenue and Anderson Lane in Austin, Lil Doddy in Austin’s West Oak area, its Nashville restaurant and one in Preston Center in Dallas.

“Nashville has been an incredibly good market — growing like crazy. A lot of similarities with Austin, quite frankly, and so we’ve green-lit really the state of Tennessee with a focus on Nashville and Nashville East,” Chandler said.
