A Baton Rouge entrepreneur who specializes in making pralines appears to be branching out with a brick-and-mortar location that will serve the sweet treats, as well as breakfast. According to a permit filing with the City of Baton Rouge, the praline and breakfast spot is planned for 2533 Florida Blvd., which used to be Jo’s Chicken and Waffles. The permit was filed by Aaron Bernard, who owns Ms. Mary’s Gourmet Pralines. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more details.

According to an official description posted to the Manta business directory, Ms. Mary’s specializes in the manufacturing and distribution of pralines in the Baton Rouge area. The website says a high percentage of Ms. Mary’s business comes from repeat customers and customer referrals, both of which speak to the level of quality coming from the company.
