According to recent reporting in the OBJ, Mike Smith of the upcoming Counter Seafood and Raw Bar will now be running a classic Sanford pub.

“Smith, who already runs the Current Seafood Counter inside Henry’s Depot Culinary Collective in Sanford, in addition to another location on Edgewater Drive in College Park, will expand his presence with this new venture,” the report states, adding that Smith will take over the adjacent Sullivan Public House, an Irish gastropub.

“The pub will stay like it is,” former owner John Washburn said. “I sold Mike all the contents of the bars, and I’m leasing him the space for both bars.”

The report states that the two spaces — the former Imperial lounge and Sullivan Public House — are connected by an interior doorway, which can be opened or closed as needed.

“Elevate your evening with a taste of elegance at The Sullivan,” a recent Facebook post states.

“Discover our selection of fine spirits like Drumshanbo Irish Gin and Sausage Tree Irish Vodka, crafted for the adventurous spirit.”
