The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, the restaurant known for serving a modern take on classic Mediterranean cuisine in its signature elevated fast-casual style, unveiled its newest Orlando-area location in Celebration. Now open at 1575 Future Way, D5, in the Celebration Pointe plaza, the eatery is owned and operated by local entrepreneur Kevin Carmean.
Aligning with its mission, Live Your Life Deliciously, The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill menu features traditional dishes crafted from family recipes that have been passed down for generations. Fan-favorites include The Great Greek Gyro, as well as lamb, steak and chicken Souvlaki plates, all prepared in-house using high-quality ingredients. Many selections can be customized, such as the Classic Greek Salad or Rice Bowl with a choice of gyro meat, salmon and more.
“The Celebration restaurant marks our fifth opening in the Orlando-area, and we’re excited to expand our presence to a popular area that draws millions of visitors from around the world each year,” said Carmean, who has been a franchise owner of The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill since 2019 in a statement. “We’ve cultivated a loyal customer base by consistently serving phenomenal-quality food paired with exceptional service, and we’re looking forward to providing that same level of hospitality at our Celebration location.”
Adding to the flavorful culinary experience are side dishes like made-to-order Feta Fries, fresh Greek salads and four signature house-made dips, including Hummus, Tzatziki, Melitzanosalata (eggplant dip) and Tirokafteri (spicy roasted red pepper). The signature handcrafted desserts prepared onsite like Baklava, Baklava Ice Cream and Rice Pudding make for a sweet finish.
Carmean recommends the Gyro Plate, an entrée featuring marinated sliced meat served with pita bread, rice pilaf and a choice of French fries or Feta Fries. “The lamb Gyro Plate is my favorite,” Carmean said. “The meat is tender and juicy after being perfectly marinated and then slow roasted on a vertical rotisserie.”
Born and raised in Michigan, Carmean has lived in Florida for over 20 years and is an active member of the community. In his free time, Carmean enjoys traveling, camping and playing sports with his wife and children. Before joining The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill, he spent most of his career as a sales manager, specializing in business management education.
The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill Celebration is open for dine-in, pick-up, catering and delivery Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. The 2,350-square-foot restaurant seats 62 guests in the dining room and 16 outside on the patio.
