A brand new grilled chicken market called Roostr Yard is getting ready to open its doors for the first time in Oceanside, located at 1810 Rancho Del Oro Rd #100.

This is the latest from Kay Uppal, according to a recent liquor license application. The successful entrepreneur has decided to launch this brand-new concept next to West Coast Sourdough near the Frontwave Arena and SoCal Sports Complex, making it an excellent spot for athletes looking for a healthy meal or visitors to the area. Uppal tells What Now San Diego that he hopes to open Roostr Yard in late April or early May 2025, offering various grilled chicken options.

When the new concept opens in a few months, customers can expect a menu that is full of quick bites, such as olives, mixed nuts, wings, and more, as well as two sandwiches, four chicken plate options, and a handful of sides, salads, and more. For larger groups, the restaurant will offer platters, where customers can order as many as two whole chickens with four sides, such as coconut curry lime rice, kaleslaw, side kale Caesar, or garlic bread. This will be an excellent spot for anyone who visits FrontWave Arena.

“Roostr Yard is the end result of our kitchen collective team coming to a realization – none of us could find a place to eat that served some something quick and filling that was high on flavor but low on grease,” according to the company’s website. “So, we decided to make a kitchen that offered just that! We combine familiar favorites with unique seasonal offerings, so it doesn’t matter if you are counting macros or counting down the seconds until you have the Yard Fries, there is something for everyone at Roostr Yard! Our kitchen collective is a group of 3 chefs, all with very different backgrounds but one common ambition: to combine the welcoming atmosphere of a friend’s backyard with fresh, artisan grilled chicken meals. In essence, summer vibes on a plate, all year long!”
