According to Tracy Press, Bob Campana of Redwood Cafe is renovating the old Patterson Water District building, gearing up to debut a new eatery, The Old Waterhouse.

Located at 17840 Ward Avenue in Patterson, the eatery will soon become a neighbor to the Flying J Travel Center, NASA Crows Landing Airport and Text Facility, and Walmart Supercenter.

Campana shares on Facebook, “In the restaurant industry, it’s not usually done this way… Most restaurants are put in leased buildings. They get an allowance from the landlord to improve their building and they’re not going to spend anywhere near the kind of money we’re spending here because we own the building and we’re investing into it.”

He continues, “We’re making something that will stand the test of time.”

Alongside a video revealing interior renovations, Campana writes, “This restaurant is very detail-oriented. To capture an era, a time when things were built more substantially than they are now,” adding, “It’s an overall look at how we can create this escape for people who come to the Old Waterhouse in Patterson.”

The Old Waterhouse is slated to open in early February.
