According to a recently submitted permit application, a new Square Pie Guys is gearing up to open in Walnut Creek.

Coming to 191 Pringle Avenue, the restaurant will land near establishments such as Kevin’s Noodle House, Pinky’s Pizza & Pub, and Retro Junkie.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the concept, “Square Pie Guys was born from a shared passion for perfecting pizza and sharing it with their community. Two guys set out to introduce Detroit-style pizza to the Bay Area,” according to its website.

The statement continues, “Square Pie Guys’ dream found a home at 1077 Mission Street, San Francisco. Bolstered by a supportive community and well-justified hype, the journey from pop-up to a full-fledged restaurant became a reality.”

The business currently operates three permanent locations in the Bay Area and 12 ghost kitchens.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s co-owner, Marc Schechter, to inquire about his plans for the eatery, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
