According to the San Francisco Chronicle, Chef Charlie Palmer is debuting a new Maison Lodi outpost in Lodi.

Coming to 2505 W. Turner Road, the eatery will land near establishments such as Thai Spices Restaurant, Wine & Roses Hotel, and the Woodlake Plaza shopping mall.

For readers who are unfamiliar with the bakery, it offers a brief introduction on its website: “Maison Lodi unites the timeless craft of French baking and the relaxed sophistication of California wine country. Watch chefs at work in the open kitchen, where daily bread baking and rotisserie roasting create a dynamic, warm atmosphere.”

The statement continues, “Whether savoring a hot cappuccino or buttery croissant, taking home a fresh baguette and grab-and-go salads, or enjoying a glass of local wine or craft beer, each visit to Maison Lodi is a celebration of Lodi’s bounty and the artistry of exceptional food.”

“Several years ago I would have had no idea where Lodi was,” Palmer said. “It’s kind of what Healdsburg was like 20-25 years ago. It’s not something that’s going to happen overnight, but in a couple of years, people will be talking about traveling to Lodi because it’s got great food.”

Maison Lodi is slated to open in January.
