Empire Wingz may be a regional Baton Rouge chain at the moment, but the popular wing spot has a grand vision for expansion and the latest step is a new location planned for 4347 High St. in Zachary. The location was once again selected based on a social media poll conducted by owner Vic Smith. The new Empire Wingz location near Baton Rouge is set to open at the end of February, around the same time as another location is set to open in Ascension Parish, which was reported previously by What Now New Orleans.

The restaurant is known for Buffalo-style chicken wings, boneless wings, and signature VJ Fries, which are french fries covered in barbecue and ranch sauce. According to reports, Smith is planning to add Empire Wingz franchise locations from Los Angeles to New Orleans to Philadelphia and many places in between. Currently, the restaurant has three locations and two food trucks in Baton Rouge.
