The team behind Kirby Ice House, including company founders and key community partners, gathered to officially break ground on the brand’s newest location in Houston’s Greater Heights neighborhood. Set to open in Fall 2025 at 1421 North Loop West, Kirby Ice House Heights will mark the fourth outpost of the backyard bar and patio concept, joining the successful locations in Upper Kirby, Memorial, and The Woodlands.
As of mid-January, foundation and groundwork has begun where the 24,000 square feet bar and patio will be located occupying a prime 3.5-acre site along 610 North Loop. Kirby Ice House Heights will be distinctive from other locations with an impressive 146-foot-long bar—setting a new record as the longest bar in Texas, surpassing the previous record held by the brand’s The Woodlands location, as well as ample parking spaces with approximately 300 parking spaces when complete. This expansion reflects the continued success and growth of Kirby Ice House as a leader in the Houston hospitality market.
“We are thrilled to bring Kirby Ice House to the Heights and offer a space where community, connection, and great experiences come together,” said Michael Johnson, Chief Operating Officer of Kirby Ice House in a statement. “This location will cater to a wide variety of guests, providing an inviting environment for everything from after-work socials to weekend outings with friends, family, and pets.”
Upon opening, Kirby Ice House Heights will offer an elevated yet casual atmosphere, with an extensive selection of beverages, including signature cocktails, a curated wine list, and more than 50 beers on tap. The venue will feature expansive indoor and outdoor areas designed for socializing and entertainment, complemented by a state-of-the-art audio-visual system for sports events, live entertainment, and more. Guests can also enjoy a rotating lineup of local food trucks along the back patio, providing diverse dining options in a relaxed, vibrant setting.
