French Truck Coffee is planning a major expansion across Southern Louisiana by opening four or five new locations over the next two years. According to a report from 225, new locations are being planned for “west of New Orleans,” the Northshore, Baton Rouge, and Lafayette. The report comes after the company recently released a new version of its mobile app that included a loyalty program and mobile ordering. What Now New Orleans has reached out for more details.

French Truck Coffee also recently started making its own pastries under executive chef Jeremy Fogg, who What Now New Orleans spoke to last year about the opening of his sadly short-lived Mae’s Bakeshop. Fogg spent six years as a pastry chef at Emeril Lagasse’s flagship restaurant. Last year, he told What Now New Orleans that his approach to baking is more Southern-inspired than tied to classic French technique.
