Sexton’s Pizza, a locally-owned pizza chain that Dave Portnoy of Barstool Sports scored an 8.1 on OneBite, is getting ready to open a new location in Lewis Center at 5880 Evans Farm Drive.
The company’s fourth location is set to open within the new Evans Farms development, according to local news reports. Co-owner Joey Sexton tells What Now Columbus that he and his brother, Jamey, hope to open in early March 2025. The brothers also operate a store in Gahanna at 943 E. Johnstown Road, Hilliard at 5460 Franklin St., and Harrison West at 360 W. Third Ave. Sexton’s is one of several brands that have decided to expand in Lewis Center.
The Sexton brothers decided to continue to expand its pizza concept after the duo partnered with former Ohio State football player Braxton Miller to open a new smash burger bar called Sexton’s Burger Bar at 921 E. Johnstown Road in Gahanna last year. The new burger bar is in the same shopping center as Sexton’s Pizza’s Gahanna location. At the time of this announcement, Sexton said there are plans for future locations. Since the restaurant opened in early 2024, the company hasn’t announced additional sites for the burger concept.
The Sexton brothers, instead, are deciding to expand their pizza brand with a new location in Lewis Center. Customers have rave reviews for this pizza concept, mainly because of the fresh ingredients used in every dish. Some ingredients used at Sexton’s Pizza include fresh Stanislaus tomatoes, picked at peak season and canned within six hours, and non-bromated, additive-free, non-GMO flour. The restaurant will also offer Grande Cheese, known for its high-quality buttermilk ranch dressing, and products from EZZO Sausage Company, which is famous for its pepperoni and sausage used by top pizzerias nationwide.
