A brand new bagel shop, Patsy’s New York Delicatessen, is ready to open in Scottsdale at 12811 N. Tatum Blvd.
Previously, What Now Phoenix reported on Chef Joey Maggiore and The Maggiore Group’s journey since late last year, which consisted of The Rosticceria closing in October 2024, followed by The Mexicano moving into the space as a pop-up, which led to the concept moving back to its original location in late January. Now, Patsy’s New York Delicatessen is set to open in that vacant space that was once the home of The Rosticceria, according to a press release. The new bagel concept is expected to open in Spring 2025, featuring a bagel bar and a custom soda bar.
“We’re bringing Arizona its first one-of-a-kind bagel bar, featuring 14 uniquely flavored cream cheeses — from artichoke and spinach dip to Nutella, and even a signature pastrami lox schmear,” Maggiore said in a news release. “Our New York-style bagels will be made fresh in-house daily, using authentic New York water for that perfect bite.”
Patsy’s New York Delicatessen is inspired by classic New York delis and named after Maggiore’s grandfather, a butcher from the Bronx who went by “Patsy.” When it opens, the eatery will be split into multiple sections, offering options for grab-and-go counter service, outdoor dining, or a more relaxed sit-down meal. Customers can expect bagels, breakfast sandwiches, salads, and house-cooked and smoked deli meats. As for dessert, the concept will include sugar cookies, New York cheesecake, black-and-white cookies, and three-layer chocolate cake.
