According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a new Izakaya bar and karaoke lounge is readying to open in Outer Richmond.

Coming to 3129 & 3141 Clement Street — taking over a spot currently home to Akiba Karaoke — Goemon Izakaya Bar & Karaoke Lounge will land near establishments such as CVS, Pacific Cafe, and The Art Bistro.

What Now San Francisco reached out to the concept’s owner, John Tam, to inquire about his plans for the business, but he could not provide additional information before publication.

Nevertheless, drawing from the upcoming lounge’s name, locals can expect Goemon to be a casual, Japanese-style bar that offers small plates and cocktails.

An opening date has not been announced yet, so stay tuned for updates.
