WaBa Grill, an LA-original rice bowl chain known for its Asian-inspired menu, will open its third Greater Phoenix location in Laveen Village at 7450 South 59th Ave.

The Laveen Village restaurant, opening in Spring 2025, will be owned and operated by Harman Dhaiwal and longtime WaBa Grill franchisee Jerry Bajwa, who operates 21 WaBa Grill locations across Southern California and Arizona, according to Restaurant News. Bajwa has exclusive rights to develop WaBa Grill in Maricopa and Pima counties, with plans to grow the brand’s presence to 10 restaurants over the next three years. As the growing brand approaches 200 restaurants, the forthcoming Laveen Village location will broaden WaBa Grill’s footprint in the Grand Canyon State and strengthen its position as the West’s leading rice bowl chain.

“The Greater Phoenix market continues to be among the most rapidly developing areas in the country, with certain pockets like Laveen Village posing significant growth opportunities for a better-for-you, convenience-focused brand like WaBa Grill,” Bajwa said in a news release. “The success of our existing Phoenix-area locations fuels our expansion into more of Arizona’s high-growth, health-conscious communities, and we look forward to opening doors in Laveen Village.”

Since 2006, WaBa Grill has been beloved by guests for delivering convenient, flavor-driven menu options at the best value. A proudly LA original brand, WaBa Grill is a renegade in flavor innovation. Never be afraid to try unique, bold combinations with an Asian-inspired flair. Protein choices are plentiful and include fresh, never-frozen chicken, marinated ribeye steak, wild-caught salmon, succulent shrimp, 100% plant-based Plantspired™ steak, and organic tofu.

Guests may customize any entrée with various complex, flavorful sauces, including the fan-favorite WaBa sauce.
