Sweetgreen, the growing salad-focused fast-casual chain, will soon begin construction on a location in the Village at Westlake, according to recent public records. The restaurant’s official address will be 701 S. Capital of Texas Hwy, within suite A050. 

What Now Austin reached out to company representatives to inquire about this location — and potential future expansions in the central Texas area — but they were not available for comment by time of publication. 

Fortunately, public records examined by What Now Austin reveal key information. The project description states that construction will concern “tenant exterior and interior alterations to an existing building. modifications to include new partition walls, ceilings, electrical, plumbing and hvac as needed for operation of a fast-casual salad restaurant.” 

The project will cost an estimated $750,000 and reach completion in August 2025.

Readers unfamiliar with the brand can expect, quick, easy and forward-thinking healthy eats. Guided by the motto “building healthier communities by connecting people to real food,” the brand states that their mission is to “do more for the planet, by taking less. Our plant-forward menu means that we’re already on average 30% less carbon intensive than the average American meal.”
