Dirty Dough, the fast-growing cookie store franchise, is getting ready to open a new location in Germantown at 9155 Poplar Avenue, Suite PI 3114-21.

The company’s newest location will move near the Shops of Forest Hill Shopping Mall, according to the company’s website. Franchise owner Lizzy Bullock tells What Now Memphis she expects to open this location in early September 2023. She also plans to open a location in the north Atlanta area in late August. Bullock has partnered with her nephew, who lives in Southaven, for this venture. The two were born in Memphis and have lived and worked in the area for most of their lives.

Dirty Dough started in Tempe, AZ, and has since exploded throughout the country through franchising. This will be the only location in the Memphis area, with locations already in Franklin and Nashville. Dirty Dough has 28 locations throughout the country, with an additional 60 units coming soon through separate franchise agreements. When the new Germantown site opens, customers can expect one-of-a-kind cookies featuring some combination of layers, mix-ins, or filling within the dough.

“We aren’t trying to win any beauty contests with our cookies,” according to the company’s website. “We don’t care about being picture-perfect— cookies are for eating. Driven by the belief that the best people and cookies go deeper than what you see on the surface, we focus on what’s inside. The unique flavor profiles and trademark gooey goodness of our cookies set us apart from other cookie-cutter brands.”
