Rachel’s Mediterranean Grill is set to open its long-awaited Fort Worth location next month.
Coming to 2801 Heritage Trace Pkwy, the restaurant will open in the “middle of March,” Brandon Guzda, director of operations for the brand, told What Now Dallas. Due to setbacks that have been caused by the supply chain and other issues, he didn’t give an exact opening date, but did confirm it will be soon.
Rachel’s Fort Worth location is part of Victory Shops at Heritage II, a retail and restaurant development in the heart of the city’s Alliance area. The restaurant will include indoor seating for up to 55 people, as well as a patio space. Contactless delivery and pickup will also be offered.
In the works for almost a year, CultureMap Fort Worth first reported in May 2021 that the family-owned, fast-casual concept would be making its Texas debut. It was originally planned to open in fall of last year.
The brand decided to come to the area after a colleague who worked for Rachel’s for almost six years moved from Buffalo to Fort Worth. He “missed Rachel’s, and thought there might be a market for what we do,” Guzda told CultureMap at the time. “We took a look at the area, and the market overall, and it spoke for itself — we’re excited.”
Founded in 2006 by brothers Joseph and Gene Khoury, Rachel’s is an open kitchen concept that serves up Greek and Lebanese-style dishes using fresh, organic, high-quality ingredients.
On the menu are customizable bowls, salads and pita wraps. After choosing their base, guests add protein such as chicken and steak souvlaki, chicken shawarma, gyro, falafel and grilled veggies.
Toppings include sixteen fresh cut that day veggies such as sautéed onions, romaine lettuce, peppers, cucumber, Kalamata olives, pickles and pepperoncini.
The sauce list includes dill, Tzatziki, Greek, Tahini, garlic, sriracha and hot sauce.
You can also add cheese, hummus and tabouli (or tabbouleh) – a Mediterranean salad mostly made with finely chopped veggies, fresh parsley, bulgur wheat and other seasonings.
For sides, there’s pita chips, grilled pita, regular fries and Greek fries – fresh cut potatoes smothered in Greek sauce, dill oil and feta cheese. Dessert options include rice pudding and baklava.
Rachel’s Fort Worth location will be the brand’s first restaurant in the Lone Star State. It will also be the first outside of its home state of New York in which it operates twelve.
Rachel’s Fort Worth is currently hiring onsite for all positions. Those interested can email the district manager – courtney@rachelsgrill.com, or visit rachelsgrill.com/careers for more information on available positions.
