A Dallas-based chain that serves up farm-to-kitchen dishes and craft cocktails is coming to Fort Worth‘s Alliance Town Center sometime in the future.

Opening at 3001 Amador Dr, the forthcoming restaurant will be Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar‘s first location in the city. A spokesperson confirmed the news to CultureMap Dallas, but an opening timeline has not yet been announced.

A concept created by Twin Peaks and Rockfish Grill founder Randy DeWitt, Whiskey Cake is being grown by FB Society (formerly Front Burner Restaurants). The brand currently has seven locations in Texas – Friendswood/Houston, Katy, Las Colinas, Plano, San Antonio, Stafford, and The Woodlands. Two more are open in Oklahoma City, OK and Tampa, FL. A tenth location is coming soon to Round Rock, TX.

Whiskey Cake offers brunch, lunch and dinner, using ingredients and ideas sourced from local farms to make hand-crafted comfort dishes and cocktails. There’s classic American food like burgers, wood grills, and greens, all served up in a rustic tavern environment. The brunch menu really shines and includes snacks like cinnamon rolls and avocado toast; breakfast plates of eggs, bacon, potatoes and biscuits; chicken and waffles, a French toast switch up, and pancake stacks.

Bar-wise, Whiskey Cake is heavy on the whiskey cocktails. But they also offer elixirs, micro-brewed beers, whiskey flights, and curated wines.

And there really is whiskey cake for dessert.
