Burger slider bar, Son of a Butcher, is on the move.

According to a recent project filing with the state, the nostalgic burger concept is cooking up a new location. This time in Grapevine. Coming to 480 W State Hwy 114, the forthcoming restaurant will be a new construction from the ground up. The space will be around 2,400 square feet and will cost an estimated $1,300,000. Work is expected to be completed by the close of September.

FB Society (formerly Front Burner Restaurants) is behind Son of a Butcher, as well as other innovative concepts like Velvet Taco, Mexican Sugar, and Haywire. Branded as a slider bar, Son of a Butcher got its start in 2019 and serves up elevated versions of traditional burger sliders, crave-able shakes, and smothered waffle fries.

For its sliders, SOB only uses locally-raised, organic Wagyu beef that is provided by A Bar N Ranch out of Celina. Guests can order a classic which comes with comeback sauce, American cheese, and pickles. Or they can choose from special flavors such as PB&J, Burnt Ends or Buffalo. There’s also an Edgy Veggie option for meatless lovers.

Aside from regular waffle fries (which can come with queso), sides also include onion rings, nacho fries, and buffalo bleu fries.

Shake flavors include key lime pie, apple pie, and cookie butter. Margaritas, on tap brews, and wine are also offered.

Son of a Butcher currently has two locations open in Dallas’s Lower Greenville and Plano’s Legacy Food Hall.
