Scooter’s Coffee, the Omaha, Nebraska-founded drive-thru coffee franchise, is opening a new DFW area location. This one will be in Grapevine at 897 W Northwest Hwy.

According to a new project filing with the state, the 664 square foot space will be a new building kiosk and offer drive-thru service. Construction will start in July and is expected to wrap up in October.

The forthcoming coffee shop is being brought to the city by franchisee Wendy Wells. An entrepreneur and self described “coffee evangelist,” Wells has two other Scooter’s Coffee franchise locations in the works for Fort Worth and Princeton under her LLC, Long Ears Coffee 2.

Along with her husband, Brett, the two signed a multi-unit agreement with the brand in June 2020.

Founded in 1998 by Don and Linda Eckles, Scooter’s Coffee roasts only the finest coffee beans in the world at its headquarters in Omaha, Nebraska. The brand started franchising in 2001, and now has around 200 locations open and operating in 16 states across the country.

The first original Scooter’s Coffee store in Bellevue, Nebraska, is still open and operating and has become a staple in that community. Even after 20 years of success, Scooter’s Coffee remains committed to its brand promise – “Amazing People, Amazing Drinks… Amazingly Fast!”

Its menu includes artisan espresso drinks, fruit smoothies, baked-from-scratch pastries and its signature “Caramelicious” drink.
