Texas, get ready for a (welcome) Canadian invasion. CRAFT Restaurant and Beer Market is bringing its distinctive brand of delicious food and good drinks to Irving.

The concept currently has nine locations spread across Canada. CRAFT will be making its Texas debut at 5794 West Northwest Highway. According to documents filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, work is set to begin on renovations to make the building customer ready on March 3, 2025. The buildout of the 15,000 square foot project should be completed on July 7 of this year.

The work will be relatively extensive. The TDLR paperwork describes the planned alterations as: “ Improvements include full size kitchen, restroom facilities, elevator and stair egress, and rooftop deck with bar equipment.”

Most prospective customers are probably not yet familiar with CRAFT. The restaurant and bar was founded in Calgary in 2011. The socially conscious concept is certain to become an absolute staple of the Irving community by adhering to the ethos stated on its website: “We aren’t just a restaurant, we are part of the community, supporting those who support us. This includes buying local, knowing our neighbours, and committing to community involvement and charities while being stewards of the environment through our sustainability initiatives.”
