A brand-new ice cream concept is planning a sweet entrance to the DFW dessert scene. Gilmore’s Scoops, from husband-and-wife team TJ and Tanya Gilmore, will be making its debut in Lewisville later this year, reports Community Impact.

Gilmore’s Scoops will be opening at 191 West Main Street as a part of the Deck on Main building. A precise opening date is not currently available, however the ice creamery should begin serving up scoops of Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream this spring.

According to paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation, Gilmore’s Scoops will occupy 975 square feet. The TDLR documents show that work began on the project on December 1, 2024 and is set to wrap on April 30 of this year.

TJ Gilmore-who is also the mayor of Old Town Lewisville-explains that Gilmore’s Scoops will provide him and Tanya with a further opportunity to contribute to their neighborhood. He states: “We want to create a space and a business where we can give back to the community in ways that are different from just me being the mayor.”

In addition to serving the previously alluded to Beth Marie’s Old Fashioned Ice Cream, a social media post on Gilmore’s Scoops’ official Facebook page states: “We’re going to be working to make the best waffle cones this side of the Mississippi!”
