1920s-style club slated to open Nov. 1.

Midtown Promenade shopping center is getting a nightclub and dessert lounge, according to Amy Wenk with the Atlanta Business Chronicle (ABC).

Gatsby’s will replace the now-shuttered 3-Legged Cowboy, inside the shopping center at 931 Monroe Drive. 3-Legged Cowboy closed its saloon-style doors April 30, 2011.

“Think of flappers, songstresses and black-and-white movie showings,” Wenk reports.

  • Y’know, just the other day I was thinking, “I wonder what it would feel like to be Jay Gatsby eating a slice of cheesecake.”

And now I’ll know exactly how that feels.

It’s like a speakeasy, the Titanic and Zesto all rolled into one. Brilliant. Why no one has thought of this before is beyond me. Reading it here just makes it sound so obvious.

This is exactly what people in Midtown Atlanta have been yearning for.

So six months from now…. what do you think? Nail salon?
