According to newly released site plans, the popular Chinese-fusion restaurant P.F. Chang’s will soon be making its way to the Opry Mills shopping mall, becoming the chain’s second location in Nashville. The new location’s address will be 433 Opry Mills Dr. in the site last home to Sak’s Off Fifth retail store.
Although it’s unknown when an exact grand opening may be for the restaurant, it’s likely to see doors open later this year or early 2024, depending on construction timelines, permitting, and staffing efforts. The new P.F. Chang’s will be about 5,600 square feet including an enclosed patio, according to site plans.
Currently, the only P.F. Chang’s open in Nashville resides close to Vanderbilt University’s campus at 2525 West End Ave Ste #2535 in West Nashville. The new Opry Mills location will likely draw both tourists and locals alike, tired and hungry from perusing the mall’s many stores.
P.F. Chang’s first opened in 1993 in Scottsdale, Arizona by its co-founder namesakes, Paul Fleming and Philip Chiang, who had a vision of bringing simple yet purposeful Chinese dishes inspired by Chiang’s heritage. Flash forward 30 years later, and the global brand has now reached over 300 restaurants in 20 countries and U.S. airports, including a growing number of convenient P.F. Chang’s To Go locations offering takeout and delivery, according to its website.
The menu at P.F. Chang’s offers a variety of Chinese-American dishes, like its infamous Orange Chicken, Kung-Pao Shrimp, Pepper Steak, and even offers a number of tofu-based options for vegetarian guests to enjoy. The new location inside Opry Mills is expected to be open for both lunch and dinner with operating hours of 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily.
What Now Nashville reached out to P.F. Chang’s Nashville officials for comment, but did not immediately receive a response.
