MacLeod’s plans to open its second location in the Los Angeles area.

A conditional use permit has been filed by the owners, permitting the sale of beer and wine for on and off-site consumption at a new 5,275-square-foot space at 5930 E. York Blvd.

“We’re hoping to open by the spring of 2022 if we are lucky,” Owner Jennifer Febre said. “We’re leasing what used to be Maximiliano.”

The interior area of 3,701 square feet will include 139 seats with an exterior that includes two patios and 93 seats for 1,574 square feet of outdoor space. Located at the corner of York Boulevard and Aldama Street in Highland, MacLeod’s will be expanding the 2,199-square-foot restaurant into a 1,502-square-foot area for a total of 3,701 square feet.

Its hours of operation will be from 11 a.m. to midnight Monday to Friday and 8 a.m. to midnight on Saturdays and Sundays.

Already found on Van Nuys, the Highland Park location will be the second restaurant to open for the MacLeod Ale Brewing Company. It will be a full-service restaurant serving craft beer and pizza.

“We’ve been talking about expansion for a number of years and knew we wanted a second one,” Febre said. “We love the location. The place is fully decked out and the kitchen is fully flushed out with a lovely Italian pizza oven. It’s like it was custom-made for us.”

Established in 2014, MacLeod Ale Brewing Company offers a huge selection of craft beer with pizza and appetizer options.
