The Los Angeles Zoning Administrator has given approvals to plans for a four-star, 89-key hotel in North Hollywood at 6439 Lankershim Blvd., according to a letter of determination filed by the city last week. It will be a Tru Hotel by Hilton, drawings attached to the plans indicate.

Proposed by applicant Nitin Patel through site ownership entity NOHO Land LLC, the four-story project will rise at the northwest corner of Lankershim Boulevard and Gilmore Street, replacing a vacant restaurant building.

Plans call for the project to reach a maximum height of 45 feet and include a 4,000-square-foot lobby and lounge area, a game zone, work zone, dining, and breakfast area on its first level. The hotel will also include a fitness room, multipurpose room, and outdoor pool on the second level, plans show.

It will provide 52 automobile parking spaces and 18 bicycle spaces in an at-grade parking level.

The roughly 30,000-square-foot project site, which fronts about 170 feet of both Lankershim Boulevard and Gilmore Street, was acquired by NOHO Land LLC for $2 million in 2014, Los Angeles County property records show.

Also involved in the development is project representative Firas Jamal of Bellflower-based Apex Designs.
