Chef David Chang is getting ready to expand his fast-casual fried chicken restaurant Fuku to several cities in Los Angeles.

Chang currently has a handful of locations across the county, starting with Santa Monica’s Third Street Promenade in 2019. Other sites can be found at LAPD Headquarters and West Hollywood. Since the pandemic, further expansion plans have been pushed back. The Majordomo owner is now partnering with Family Style Kitchens to bring more locations to the city. The partnership will bring new Fuku locations to Culver City, Glendale, West LA, etc. When these locations open, customers can expect delicious sandos, fuku fingers, and fries.

A few of these locations are expected to open in the next few weeks, starting with West Los Angeles at 1523 S. Bundy Dr., opening on March 24. Then, on March 31, another location will come to West Adams Heights at 1842 W. Washington Blvd. and one in Glendale at 107 E Broadway. The rest of the locations are expected to open by Summer 2022. Los Angeles isn’t the only city in Southern California getting more Fuku locations. The company also has plans to open locations in Anaheim and San Diego.

“Fuku, as a concept, was built off of this really delicious thigh-meat spicy fried chicken sandwich and has since grown to serve a variety of fried chicken offerings, sides, and slushies,” according to their website. “Guided by many of the same principles that David Chang instills in all his restaurants, Fuku is focused on offering guests approachable, tasty food that draws from both Asian and American influences.”
