Popular Singapore ramen chain Ramen King Keisuke has officially entered Los Angeles County with its first location in Monterey Park, at 141 N. Atlantic Blvd.
The restaurant, which has since launched 23 restaurants throughout Singapore and Japan, recently opened and plans to follow this with 13 other new locations coming to the area, including Torrance, Marina del Rey, and Studio City. Soon Ramen King Keisukes will be found throughout Southern California, with the possibility of further expansion to other markets once established in the United States. The company is also working on opening new sites in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Australia, and the Philippines.
This comes less than two decades after founder Keisuke Takeda opened ‘Bimisenryu Tanka,’ a modern Japanese restaurant, in 2004. A year later, the celebrity chef opened his first ramen restaurant called ‘Kuro Miso Ramen,’ often considered the first generation of Keisuke Ramen. To prove his success even further, In 2011, he won the title of Ramen Champion at the Tokyo Ramen Championships. The event is an annual gathering of more than 30,000 ramen chefs in Japan who compete for the highly coveted title.
When this new ramen restaurant opens, customers can expect some of the best ramens they can finding America. Some ramen options include lobster broth ramen, spicy tonkatsu ramen, vegetarian ramen, and more. There are also plenty of sushi and maki options, such as chutoro maki, California roll, and Mauro maki. The restaurant also offers several Japanese alcoholic drinks.
