Club Monte Cristo — which once resided at 659 S Westmoreland Ave in LA — will re-open at 2228 W 7th St Los Angeles, CA 90057, according to Founder Mike Pecina.

Before closing in 2017, Monte Cristo served as an immersive nightclub for nearly two decades. The gothic atmosphere was steeped in deep reds, candle wax, overstuffed chairs — perhaps occupied by the unseen — human skull replicas, and ornate mirrors.

Handfuls of events took place at the hotspot during its 19 years in operation, and Pecina’s dark palace became known for its heavy pour, reasonable prices, and intriguingly unnerving environment.

Pecina told What Now LA he hopes to open his Addams Family-esque mansion as soon as possible.

What’s more, the industry vet says the three-story building set to house the new Monte Cristo is, in fact, haunted as Pecina often hears footsteps overhead and claims a famous murder happened within its walls.
