Baar Baar — a hip Indian concept by NYC Chef Sujan Sarkar — is set to take over 705 W 9th St, Los Angeles, CA 90017, the former home of Faith & Flower, this March, according to Managing Partner Payal Sharma via Eater LA.

In 2017, Baar Baar opened in New York City to much acclaim. Now, Sarkar and Sharma have plans to upend Southern California’s Indian restaurant scene by bringing Baar Baar’s user-friendly, modern, and appealing approach to The City of Angels.

Faith & Flower, which closed in 2021 during the pandemic, was a boisterous joint centered around larger-than-life vibes and decor.

“Sharma says that she wants to keep the same freewheeling sense of fun as the previous operator,” according to Eater, “but with food from Sarkar, one of India’s most celebrated chefs.”

Sharma continues, “[Baar Baar LA] is going to be a similar vibe [to the NY location], with brunch, small plates dinner, and amazing cocktails,” but will differ “a little bit.”
