In 2022, Eater LA reported that Star Central Coast beer brand Figueroa Mountain would be expanding into Los Angeles as part of a partnership with a few Tony Yanow-founded ABC Pubs.

Specifically, Fig. Mtn. was aiming to adopt Bluebird Brasserie, Stalking Horse, and Broxton Brewery & Public House to uniquely rebrand each concept.

However, Fig. Mtn. Co-founder Jaime Dietenhofer tells WNLA, “We were never able to finalize the lease with the landlord at Bluebird Brasserie…because they sold the property during our negotiations.”

Fortunately, Dietenhofer says Fig. Mtn. is “still in negotiations currently [with Stalking Horse and Broxton Brewery].” For now, Dietenhofer can only hope the projects are still a go.

Figueroa Mountain Brewing Co. was founded by father and son team, Jim and Jaime Dietenhofer, in 2010 as they set out to pay homage to the beautiful Santa Ynez Valley with handcrafted beer and hand-drawn artwork depicting the local landscape on their labels, explains the brand’s website.

They currently helm four taprooms along California’s Central Coast — Buellton, Los Olivos, Santa Barbara, and Westlake Village.
