A juice bar called Verdes Kitchen & Drinks will soon open at 1106 East Wardlow Road in Long Beach at the former Babe’s Kitchen space, according to a liquor license filed with the California Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control.

Co-owner Jessica Molina also confirmed the intel, telling What Now Los Angeles that Verdes will serve organic raw cold-pressed juices, organic smoothies, and eventually protein veggie bowls free from seed oils.

“At Verdes, we aim to nourish and enlighten individuals with healthy food options so they can live a lifestyle free from a highly processed diet while feeling empowered at their convenience,” Molina explains.

Though Molina finds it hard to pinpoint an exact price range for Verdes’ products given the fluctuating cost of organic produce, she says customers can expect to pay around $12 for a 16 oz. bottle of cold-pressed juice. The bowls, on the other hand, will depend upon additions and protein but should land between $13-$17.

As for an opening date, Molina says she and her team — Richard and Tiffany Gonzalez — are undergoing revisions from the city and hope to debut Verdes soon.

Verdes will join a handful of eateries on Wardlow including Roxanne’s — a music lounge featuring food and cocktails — Blackbird Cafe, and Lona’s City Limits Cantina.
