Founded in 2020 by Whole Foods co-creator John Mackey, former co-CEO of Whole Foods Walter Robb, and former Whole Foods executive Betsy Foster, Love.Life “is an integrated health and wellness company that makes lasting health and vitality attainable.”

The brand obtained Miami’s Love Life Cafe in 2021 before launching a plant-based eatery in Culver City earlier this year.

Unfortunately, the company announced the closure of its LA outpost last week citing “limited foot traffic in an emerging development and a lower-than-expected return to office population” at Ivy Station.

Fans of the restaurant were unhappy with the decision, accusing the company of “throwing in the towel too early.”

Luckily, the team also explained their excitement to launch a flagship location in El Segundo next summer.

The incoming Love.Life project will “reflect [the team’s] vision of a one-stop immersive experience with nourishing food, evolved medical care, fitness, and cutting edge wellness therapies under one roof,” says the Love.Life Instagram.

It is presently unclear how the El Segundo iteration will present these offerings, but a PR Newswire article states that the project will unfold in a 45,000-square-foot space and will have virtual offerings as well as comprehensive care. The team had initially intended to launch “evidence-based meal prescription plans for specific health conditions” from the Culver City outpost, so perhaps the design will become an offering of the El Segundo concept.
