As first reported by Toddrickallen.com, the co-founders of San Francisco’s “Indian-inspired restaurant and cocktail bar” ROOH, Vikram and Anu Bhambri, will soon open a concept called Fitoor at 1755 Ocean Avenue in the former Herringbone space.

The husband-and-wife team behind the upscale joint with locations in San Francisco and Palo Alto also apparently have big plans for expansion throughout the Bay Area. However, none of the three incoming NoCal concepts will fall under the same name and concept as ROOH, explains Eater.

Additionally, a Fitoor Indian Grill & Lounge by the Bhambris is coming to San Jose, per Eater SF, and is described as an “opulent restaurant with live music and DJs.”

“Taking over Suite 1140, Fitoor — which ‘means ‘passion’ in Arabic and Hindi’ — will be ‘an Indian grill and lounge whose food, cocktails, music, and decor evoke the vibrancy and energy of today’s India in the heart of Santana Row,’” says WNSF reporter Elise McCorkle with help from the Santana Row website.

Anu Bhambri declined to reveal an opening date for the Santa Monica Fitoor.
