It looks like Terroni is opening a new concept at 155 S Barrington Place. According to public records, the group applied for a liquor license as Terroni Brentwood.
Terroni is known for its fresh pasta, unsliced pizza, authentic Southern Italian fare and extensive Italian wine collection. Most importantly, they never cut corners when it comes to their materia prima (raw materials).
“A lot of time was spent sourcing the building blocks for all our dishes from small artisanal producers either in Italy or locally,” says their website. “The extra virgin olive oil made from 100% coratina olives in Puglia, the San Marzano tomatoes from Campania region, the flour from Le Marche, the indigenous varietals of wines that go well beyond the all-too-familiar Chianti and Pinot Grigios.”
The Canadian-based Italian restaurant group started in Toronto in 1992. Today, Grouppo Terroni helms several concepts in the city, including Terroni, La Bettola di Terroni (which skews slightly more Sicilian), Sud Forno and Spaccio. They also have a cozy Terroni location on Beverly Boulevard and a La Bettola on Larchmont Boulevard.
An opening date for Terroni Brentwood has not been announced.
