It looks like Javier’s Cantina – a high-end Mexican restaurant chain – is working on a new location. According to public records, owner Mark Post applied for a new 12,570 square-foot restaurant with seating for more than 300 people inside the Circa building in DTLA.
Proposed hours of operation are 11am – 1:30 a.m. daily. Post declined to comment on the project.
Javier’s serves elevated Mexican cuisine, prioritizing the highest quality, sustainable ingredients like center-cut prime Angus beef from Omaha, top white Mexican prawns, fresh chemical-free U-10 scallops, Dungeness crab (all leg meat) and Maine lobster. Each of its locations feature hand-shaken margaritas, rare tequilas, craft cocktails and a vast selection of beer and fine wines.
Javier’s started in Laguna Beach in 1995 and now has restaurants in Las Vegas, Los Cabos, Mexico, and throughout Southern California.
