A new concept called Cesare Ristorante is coming to Beverly Grove at 8636 W 3rd St. The Italian joint recently applied for a liquor license at the former 3rd Stop gastropub space. An opening date has not yet been announced.

Owner Cesare Vietina, from whom the eatery borrows its namesake, is no stranger to the restaurant industry. In the early 80’s, his father Bruno Vietina and uncle Alfio launched Madeo – an authentic Italian restaurant in Beverly Hills which has since relocated to WeHo, but is still family owned and operated. In the late 90’s, Cesare launched a restaurant of his own, Principe Ristorante, five minutes away from Madeo with his father helming the kitchen as chef.

Principe has since closed its doors, but perhaps the new Cesare Ristorante will bring back the old haunt’s Tuscan flavors and unique selection of wines and cocktails.

Stay tuned for updates as we learn more about this concept.
