Skyduster Beer, a local brewery with a handful of its own beers, is getting ready to build its own taproom in Los Angeles, located at 4326 Sunset Blvd.
The company’s first brick-and-mortar will replace Bar Restaurant. Co-owner Jonny Marler tells What Now Los Angeles that he and co-owner Nick Smith hope to open the new concept in about a year. Skyduster Beer will be 5,000 square feet inside with a 7,500-square-foot beer garden/ patio outside. It will have live entertainment, 15 guest taps for other local breweries, two bocci courts on-site, and more. The two hope to create an inclusive space welcoming to other industry professionals.
While Skyduster Beer will serve food on-site during the week, the co-owners plan to offer outdoor cooking on the weekend, with various guest chefs appearing and offering different options every week. Marler describes the space as intimate, where the chefs prepare the food near the guests outside on the patio so customers can see what’s being made. While food will be a highlight of this establishment, beer will be another star.
Currently, the company has four staple beers in its catalog, including a super dry lager, a West Coast IPA, an Italian pilsner, and a citrus wit. All these options are brewed as easy-drinking, classic beers to complement food – fresh, light, and true to style. While customers will find these four beers on tap at the new Skyduster Beer brewery, the establishment will also have nearly three times the amount of taps dedicated to other local craft breweries, further investing in this becoming an inclusive space for all beer lovers. Skyduster Beer will hopefully be open before the end of 2025.
