Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice, a Long Beach-based juice shop, is preparing to open a new location in Carson at 208 E Carson Street, Site #100.

The company’s second location is set to move into the former home of Carson One Hour Photo Labs in the Pacific Center shopping complex, according to the company’s social media. Owner Johnny Chhom hopes to open this Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice location in early 2025. The eatery can be found in Long Beach at 3545 Atlantic Avenue, plus SmorgasburgLA every Sunday. Chomm is also the owner of The Golden Skewer and Copboy Pepper Chips.

This will be an excellent location for the company’s second location, considering it will sit on the outskirts of a busy shopping district that includes the Carson Library and Carson Street Elementary School. While students won’t likely be shopping at Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice, this will be an excellent healthy choice for parents. Other restaurants in the area include Winchell’s Donut House, Rascals Teriyaki Grill, and H Salt Fish & Chips, making this one of the healthier options when it opens.

In addition to serving Cowboy Pepper Chips and the Golden Skewer, Sweet Grass Sugarcane Juice offers a variety of smoothie and juice options, including strawberry, mango, and pineapple. The eatery also offers plenty of coffee options, matcha, and other energy-boosting drinks. Since the restaurant offers Cambodian street food through the Golden Skewer, customers can also expect items such as Tri-tip Lemongrass Beef Sticks, Jasmine Rice, and Cucumber Salad.
