Columbus barbeque eatery Barrel & Boar is opening a new location in East Market, located at 212 Kelton Ave, according to recent reporting. The indoor market located in the city’s Trolley District has recently announced several new vendors that are moving in over the fall and winter.
The timeline for opening the newest Barrel & Boar hasn’t been firmed up just yet, but it could happen open as early as the end of this year, depending on permitting.
The eatery currently has restaurants in Gahanna, Lancaster and at North Market. Specializing in smoked meats and low country cuisine, Barrel & Boar serves starters like Carolina hush puppies, served with honey butter and smoked wings.
Mains include chicken and waffles made from smoked pulled chicken piled atop waffles and drizzled with spicy maple syrup, along with BBQ mac and cheese, and choice of meats topped on the creamy pasta include pork, brisket, burnt ends or kielbasa.
