The smoothie and fruit bowl chain Playa Bowls continues to expand in the Columbus area, with a second location set to open in Dublin. The healthy fruit based bowl franchise will open at 6704 Perimeter Loop Rd in Dublin.
Earlier this year, What Now Columbus reported on the Playa Bowls coming to Quarry Trails, an old quarry site that has been converted into an outdoor recreational area. In addition to launching the Quarry Trails shop soon, franchisee Brett Coleman has plans to open the Dublin location by year’s end.
Customers can expect to find fruit based bowls made from acai, pitaya and banana, as well as smoothies, juice options including fresh and bottled cold-pressed and coffee.
According to its website, the chain, which was founded by a pair of surfers on the Jersey Shore, is known for serving healthy bowls and smoothies, all while keeping the community in mind through using serving materials that support environmental sustainability. The franchise started in 2014 in Belmar, New Jersey and currently has over 170 stores in more than 10 states.
