Mandy’s Gourmet Salads is preparing to take over Canada, with at least two new locations planned to open in greater Toronto.
The Montreal-based brand, known for its creative salad offerings and vibrant restaurant interiors, is ramping up its expansion efforts across Canada, with plans to open 30 to 40 locations nationwide over the next five years, according to Retailer Insider. Company president Vanessa Fracheboud has at least four locations in the pipeline for the next 12 months, including new locations in Toronto’s Yonge-Eglinton neighborhood at 2670 Yonge Street, replacing Roots, and one in the Canary District. Fracheboud tells Retailer Insider that the Yonge-Eglinton location was a natural choice.
“It’s an interesting mix between urban, busy, but also very neighborhood- and community-oriented, a little bit like Westmount in Montreal,” Fracheboud tells Retail Insider regarding Mandy’s Gourmet Salads. “We always want to stick close to urban centres where there’s lots of traffic, young families, and young entrepreneurs.”
The Yonge-Eglinton location is slated for July 2025, while the Canary District site is expected to open in spring 2026. When these two new Toronto locations open, customers can expect a variety of delicious and healthy salads, bowls, soups, and smoothies, as well as a handful of seasonal options, such as a lemon olive oil dressing and a new truffle dressing.
This is just the beginning of the company’s expansion plans. Mandy’s Gourmet Salads is expanding with a new location in Ottawa’s The Glebe, set to open in June 2025, following the upcoming opening in South Shore Montreal near Quartier DIX30 in April. The company is also exploring Vancouver (downtown, East Vancouver, Kitsilano, and North Vancouver) and focusing on Calgary’s downtown area for future locations.
