With locations already open in Dania Beach, Miami Beach, and Sunrise, ice cream sandwich franchise The Baked Bear is preparing to expand to a fourth location in the state of Florida. Paperwork submitted by Ruby Cubed Two, LLC shows a new Baked Bear location opening at 59 NW 24th Street.
The Baked Bear menu brings together ice cream and cookies, allowing you too assemble your own sandwich from a cookie selection that includes varieties like the Cookie Monster Cookie (Blue Cookie w/ White Chocolate Chip, Oreo, and Cookie Crisp), the Nutella Chocolate Chunk Cookie, and the classic Snickerdoodle Cookie, plus ice cream flavors like Butter Brittle Cake, Cookie Dough, and Blackberry Crumble. Then you can add toppings and even have the sandwich hot pressed.
(One very important question suggests itself: Can you choose two different cookies for each side of your sandwich? Answer: yes, you can.)
“From day 1 to the present day, [founders Rob Robbins and Shane Stanger] have been pleasantly surprised to find lines down the street and have won the hearts of locals and tourists that have drawn accolades from Forbes, Eater, Thrillist, and more,” says the Our Story page on the Baked Bear website. “Since 2013, The Baked Bear has expanded to many stores across the country, always with the same mentality, serving the best tasting ice cream sandwiches in a fun atmosphere while providing the best customer service possible!”
What Now reached out on Wednesday to franchisee Melanie Bell to inquire about the timeline for the opening on 24th Street in Wynwood. Bell was not immediately available for comment.
