According to a recently submitted alcohol license application, a new tearoom is preparing to open in Antioch.

Coming to 520 W 2nd Street, Hen and Drake Modern Tearoom will land near establishments such as Chrome Coffee, Dass Sweets & Catering, and Tony’s Beer Garden.

The Hen and Drake Modern Tearoom website offers a brief introduction to the concept: “We offer opulent but accessible mobile Afternoon Tea parties. We work with you to make your event magical and take care of every detail, from food, tablescape, setup, serving, and cleanup so that you can relax and focus on making memories with those you love.”

The concept’s owner, Erin Green, tells What Now San Francisco, “I started the business because I like to host events… For the last year or so, I’ve had a traveling food truck, and right now, I just do mobile parties.”

Locals can expect to find sandwiches, scones, small cakes, creme brulee, and puff pastries on the menu.

Green shares, “I’m hoping by the end of April.”

Stay tuned for updates.
