Firehouse Subs is strengthening its presence in The Bayou City with a new location set for 9430 Fry Rd #100, Cypress, TX 77433. The upcoming restaurant is led by Co-Franchisee Brian Eckel, one of the brand’s largest franchise operators.
Alongside his wife and fellow co-franchisee, Brian has been expanding aggressively through Texas. “We own 23 stores and are in multiple demographics with a Northwest Houston development agreement. We have all of Austin, along with Corpus Christi as well,” he told What Now Houston.
While the franchisees acquired three locations last year in Houston, this Cypress restaurant marks the first new store they’ve built here. “Technology-wise, we are pretty embedded and integrated, but new technology happenings are in the works,” Brian said, emphasizing that this Firehouse Subs will feature a modern design with a strong focus on the drive-thru experience, as well as kiosks inside for a seamless ordering process.
The duo and their team are shifting focus toward growing the Houston market, with two additional locations set to open in Austin in the coming months. The franchisees aim to open four to five new Firehouse Subs per year, ensuring continued expansion throughout Texas.
As Firehouse Subs continues to grow under The Eckels’ leadership, the Cypress location will offer customers an updated, efficient ordering experience while staying true to the brand’s commitment to quality subs and service.
This new, modern location is scheduled to open in September 2025.
