Rocky Mount-based burger restaurant Barley and Burger is getting ready to expand to a stall at an upcoming food hall in Uptown, located at 101 N. Tryon St.

The upcoming Monarch Market, which is opening this fall, has announced its first three tenants coming to the food hall, including Barley and Burger, Curry Junction, and Rolled AF, according to the Charlotte Observer. Customers can expect gourmet burgers made from a mix of Black Angus, short rib, and chuck, as well as wings, nachos, loaded fries, and craft beer. This is the first time the owners are expanding the restaurant.

Monarch Market at One Independence Center will have a total of 12 food stalls, so expect more restaurants to be announced in the near future. In addition to the stalls, the food hall will feature a full-service restaurant and three bars, including one outdoors facing North Tryon Street. The space will also feature four event spaces, including a cocktail lounge with outdoor space facing Tryon Street, a partially private area, an indoor/outdoor bar, and access to the tenant lounge if you work in One Independence Center.

“Barley and Burger is excited to bring our love of burgers to the Charlotte community. With mouthwatering smash burgers made with quality ingredients and served in a welcoming atmosphere, we aim to satisfy guests’ cravings with an unforgettable burger experience,” Travis Ellis, co-owner of Barley and Burger, said in a statement. “We look forward to serving everyone.”
