After opening three locations in the Chicago area, FARE is ready to expand for the first time into a new market, this time opening in Monarch Market at 101 N. Tryon St.
The highly anticipated food hall opened on November 2, offering a handful of American and international cuisine, plus three bar concepts. While a handful of the food stalls have opened, more are on the way, including FARE, offering seasonal, health-focused food, such as bowls and breakfast options, emphasizing common dietary restrictions. Owners Britni deLeon and Kasia Bednarz expect to open the new site in early 2024, according to the Charlotte Observer.
“This marks more than just a new location for us; it’s a testament to our unwavering commitment to making healthy, delicious, and sustainable food an integral part of communities,” deLeon tells Charlotte Observer. “Charlotte, get ready to savor the goodness — we can’t wait to welcome you to the FARE family!”
The 18,000-square-foot Monarch Market at One Independence Center in Uptown has room for a total of 12 food stalls. The food hall recently opened the Brooklyn Dumpling Shop, offering hand-made savory and sweet dumplings with non-traditional flavors. Next, the food hall will welcome Curry Gate in the coming weeks. There are still two food stall openings for Monarch Market.
The food hall will soon launch an online ordering technology that allows customers to order from multiple food stalls simultaneously, with hot- and cold-food storage lockers near the entrance. The upgraded pickup or delivery service is expected to launch by year-end.
